Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Masks: Ms. Beauregard's HS "Spanish" - Fall 2021
Students in Ms. Beauregard's Spanish class explored the meaning and symbolism behind the the Mexican holiday, "The Day of the Dead", which occurs at the end of October / beginning on November to honor loved ones who have passed. Decorated masks are worn, usually shaped like skulls. This was originally done to scare away the spirits of the dead after the celebration, but has evolved into an expression of connection to those who have died.
